The most important feature of professional X-ray doors is the uninterrupted lead shielding chain. It is not enough to line only the door leaf with lead; the frame system, wall connection, lock area and hinge details must also overlap with the radiation shielding built into the wall structure.
The presence of lead lining significantly increases the weight of the door system. Standard architectural hardware cannot withstand this load over the long term, so we use heavy-duty industrial hinges, rails and massive load-distributing steel frame systems.
On request, radiation shielding can also be combined with hermetic sealing, allowing one hybrid door system to maintain cleanroom pressure cascades while providing radiation therapy protection.

Yes. With properly sized industrial electromechanical automation, even a heavy radiation shielding sliding or hinged door can be operated safely and conveniently.
Can the door be connected to the X-ray equipment control system?
Yes. Opening sensors or closed-position feedback can be integrated into the door and transmitted as an interlock signal to the equipment control system.
Can it be installed into an existing wall opening?
