For intensive material handling Two-way self-closing Acid-resistant stainless steel option

Industrial stainless steel swing doors

Heavy-duty mechanical passage systems for logistics and production nodes where continuous manual or machine-based material handling would be slowed down by conventional door systems.

What is it for?

Physical separation without slowing down logistics processes

In critical high-traffic passages where the daily number of openings reaches hundreds or even thousands, installing a photocell-controlled high-speed door is often an unnecessary cost, while a conventional door becomes a physical obstacle. A swing door is the practical solution for unrestricted passage and energy separation.

Two-way opening allows pallet trucks, hand trolleys and production carts to push the door open directly by physical contact. No button press, photocell activation or free hand is required.

After passage, the hinge mechanism with heavy-duty torsion springs automatically returns the door leaves to the closed neutral position. This reduces air exchange, cross-drafts and heat loss between adjacent zones.

PE-HD impact protection elements fitted to the stainless steel door leaf protect the structure from repeated contact with pallets, forks and trolleys, while the surface remains hygienic and easy to clean.

Mechanics

Adjustable torsion springs

The continuously adjustable integrated spring system made of stainless steel ensures that the door closes firmly and quickly back to its default position.

Passive protection

PE-HD impact protection

Thick polyethylene protection strips installed at the bottom and/or centre protect the door leaf from repeated impacts caused by forklift forks, pallet trucks and hand trolleys.

Flush-mounted vision panels

Safety plexiglass or polycarbonate vision panels support accident-free two-way traffic, without protruding edges and with hygienically cleanable surfaces.

Specification

Typical technical parameters

Every swing door system is designed and manufactured according to the exact wall structure, expected daily load and the type of material handling equipment passing through the opening.

Door leaf material Stainless steel sandwich construction with PUR core
Stainless steel grade WNr. 1.4301 for general food industry environments or WNr. 1.4404 acid-resistant execution for strong chemical exposure
Hinge mechanism Two-way opening, 90° + 90° operation, with optional hold-open position for cleaning or downtime
Impact protection Extruded PE-HD protection strips installed at the bottom and/or centre
Vision panels Flush-mounted safety plexiglass or polycarbonate for accident-free two-way traffic
Seals Replaceable EPDM profiles to reduce finger-trapping risk, drafts and air exchange

Where is it used?

Typical application environments

Stainless steel swing doors perform best where speed, hygienic washability and resistance to physical impact are the primary requirements.

Meat and food industry facilities

Strict HACCP environments where stainless steel surfaces, continuous washability and fast passage for material handling carts are basic requirements.

Logistics and distribution centres

Warehouses, picking areas and goods traffic passages where separation is needed for hand pallet truck or light machine traffic.

Supermarkets and commercial back-of-house areas

Elegant yet durable separation between customer areas, back storage, preparation rooms and cold room anterooms.

Technical production zones

Fast passage between climate zones, cleanroom anterooms, packaging areas and production corridors where a conventional door would be too slow.
