Uncontrolled air exchange through micro-gaps in conventional doors can compromise the safety of sterile areas.
The operating principle of a true hermetic sliding door is significantly different from that of conventional automatic sliding doors. In the final phase of the closing cycle, the special mechanism moves the door leaf downward while pressing it onto the continuous seals of the frame system.
This 3D pressing logic creates the physical airtight seal that reduces the passage of pathogens, fine dust, aerosols and unwanted airflows, while also reducing the load on the ventilation system.

3D pressing mechanism
The door leaf does not only slide sideways; before reaching the final closed position, it also moves downward and towards the frame. This presses the continuous silicone or EPDM seal firmly against the floor and frame.
